Wave Wifi Ec-hp-db-ac Hot Spot 2 - 25' 400uf Low Loss Cable 2 -2' Antenna 2 Rubber Duck - WAVECHPDBAC

Wave WiFi’s (High Powered) EC-HP & EC HP Dual Band (AN) & (AC) models produce the highest allowable output power of 1 Watt, providing long-range connections to good quality HotSpots. Wave WiFi’s EC HP Dual Band models are also capable of connecting to the faster 5GHz Wi-Fi frequencies that may be available in your area. All HP models support MIMO technology with the optional second external antenna on the 2.4GHz EC HP. All HP units ship with the latest firmware version of Wave WiFi’s proprietary browser-based interface. All HP models support WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption and are Ethernet Converters (EC). Therefore a direct connection can be made to any Ethernet enabled device resulting in flawless performance as a standalone system or integrated into the boat’s network. Also there is no software to install. This means better performance for plug-and-play computer accessories.

Maintenance Tips
  • Check Cable Condition: Regularly inspect both 25' low loss cables for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Replace them if needed to prevent signal loss or interruptions.
  • Clean Antennas: Clean the 2' antennas periodically with a soft cloth to remove any dust, dirt, or debris that could degrade signal quality.
  • Verify Antenna Connections: Ensure that both antennas are securely connected to the hotspot unit, and that the cables are properly attached to the antennas and device. Loose or improper connections can result in weak signals or poor performance.
  • Inspect Rubber Duck Antennas: Check both rubber duck antennas for any cracks, damage, or wear. If you notice any deterioration, replace them to maintain signal strength.
  • Eliminate Signal Obstructions: Make sure the antennas have a clear line of sight and are free from any physical obstructions or interference that could weaken the signal.
  • Store Properly: When not in use, store the cables and antennas in a dry, cool place away from excessive heat, moisture, or direct sunlight to prevent damage.
  • Test Signal Strength: Periodically test the signal strength and performance of the hotspot system. If you experience issues with connectivity or reduced speeds, check for possible cable or antenna problems, and inspect for environmental interference.
